I had an original pair back in '88 and they were great shoes. Looked great, felt great and lasted me a long time. When I got these retro's and took them out of the box and started examining them, it just took me back to when I was in junior high. It's amazing how something as simple as a shoe can take you back to another time. It's hard to say whether these shoes fit true to size for me, since I wear size 10.5 or 11 in Nike's, depending on the model. In these Reebok's, size 10.5 is perfect for me. I ordered size 11 since 10.5 was not available, and they are a bit big on me. Even though I was excited to see these shoes available for purchase again, I only wish that Reebok would re-release them in the original color schemes. I originally had white leather w/th blue and I absolutely loved that combination. Also, my original pair did not have the plastic tab supports that run across 3 pairs of the lace holes on each shoe. I wish Reebok would get rid of that. I never did like how that looks. My original pair didn't have them. So I hope someone from Reebok reads this: this is a great sneaker that deserves to be re-released in its original colors/materials (and without the plastic lace tabs). I've read around the web that there are plenty of people would buy several pairs of these shoes if they were just reissued as they were originally. Plus, there's a whole new generation that is discovering this shoe, and with the resurgence of high top sneakers, Reebok can only stand to make a profit from re-releasing them as they were when they first came out in '86, '87. Look how Nike has been re-releasing a lot of their sneakers from the 80's in original colors. So please Reebok, JUST DO IT!! I gave them 5 stars, but only because there's no 4.5. If they redo the originals, i'll rate them 5++!!
